Fragrance Lake 50k / Half /10k

Fragrance Lake Trail Races are being rescheduled due to a tragic plane accident that occurred on Chuckanut Mountain Monday, February 12. Larrabee State Park Officials have informed us that the race will not be allowed at this time due to hazards on course and an ongoing investigation. We had no choice in this matter, it is up to our permit officials and so unfortunately we will have to reschedule the event. We are looking at June 9 for the new date.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased and we hope that they get some answers. Hug your loved ones a bit tighter today and every day. Thank you for understanding, we are working diligently on getting something else in place for you.

Race Course Description:
Run past the serene Fragrance Lake, and when you think it can't get any better, you'll run through fields of sword fern and soak in all hues of green on the Rock Trail while running past towering rock faces and rocks as big as houses through a magical green forest above Lost Lake. You might even see a forest fairy or two, it's that magical.

Half Marathon
The course also traverses the scenic and super technical Ridge Trail with views of the Cascade Mountains. This is no ordinary Half Marathon.  It's tough with 3,300 feet of vert and almost entirely single track trails (except for at the start, which helps to spread people out before they hit single track).  We'll have our usual post race festivities: a post race meal, local brews, and an awards ceremony!

The 50k course explores Chuckanut Mountain, Raptor Ridge, Pine and Cedar Trails & lakes and long and technical ridges. If you like climbing on smooth single track, you will love this route! The 50k has around 7k of climbing. Aid stations are about 5 miles apart, however there is a 9 mile section with no aid so please carry enough food/water/extra clothing! February weather can be cold and wet and occasionally we get snow - please be prepared for anything.
