How the Series Works
Points will be tallied for each race. The first male and female get 100 points, regardless of the distance of the race*. The closer each finisher is to the winning time of their gender, the more points they earn. Your top 3 finishes (only 3 races of the 6) are added together to get your total score. Top female and male point earners will win the series, as do top point earners in each age division. Overall winners are not eligible to win their age group. *One exception is Alger Alp races. There is a 25k and 50k option in addition to the 5 mile race. For scoring the 25k and 50k, only the runner's time on their first lap will count toward series points. In that way, all race distances are competing for the same points in this race.
Tie Breaker
In the case of a tie in the series age group or overall, here are the tie breakers in the sequence they will be used:
1. The points from each runner's 4th race (if they did 4 or more races) will be added to their total.
2. Whomever scores higher at the final race at Chucknaut Mountain 12k/30k.
3. Coin Toss
